Exciting New Digital Printers from Heidelberg

Heidelberg has confirmed its intention to venture into the world of entry level digital printers by announcing the introduction of 4 new digital printers to its range. 

The Linoprint CV and the Linoprint CP colour digital printers are intended as replacements for the Linoprint C751 and C901. These new digital printers will allow customers greater flexibility and productivity whilst ensuring a high quality output. These new printers will be available with the option of having Heidelberg's own new Prinect Digital Frontend (DFE) which will enable printshops to connect overall production.

Heidelberg Linoprint CV

This Printer will accommodate sizes up to 13 x 27.5 inches whist offering 5 colour capacity. It achieves a PRINT speed of 90ppm across its broad substrate range and is expected to appeal to customers who already have digital capacity but wish to increase their flexibility and volume. As it uses toner with a low melting point it can even PRINT on heat sensitive plastics. It is able to produce 3 page folding brochures or posters up to 27.5 inches in a single operation.

Heidelberg Linoprint CP

This machine can produce advertising and presentation materials at a speed of 130 ppm as well as brochures, books and more personalised products. This Printer has a heavy duty modular design and is capable of producing over 1 million images per month. It's flexibility makes it suitable for high or low PRINT volumes. This Printer also uses a low toner melting point enabling it to PRINT on a huge range of materials including plastics and structured paper. Its inline Finishing solutions include UV coating and booklet making as well as high capacity stacking, perforating, folding and adhesive binding.

The above machines will be available with Heidelberg's own Prinect Digital Frontend or EFI's Fiery Frontend depending upon requirements.

Also available is Linoprint CM - a high volume black and white Printer intended to supplement colour production. This machine will be ideal for smaller commercial shops to upgrade at less cost and with no loss of quality.
